(Friesach, Carinthia, July 28, 2022) The SPRINGER Group, a leading global technology supplier for the wood industry, has acquired 90% of the shares in GIS Industrieautomation GmbH. The company, which is located in Herzogsdorf, Upper Austria, specializes in planning, engineering, automation, PLC programming, control cabinet construction, and industrial assembly. GIS Industrieautomation employs around 50 specialists and has extensive national and international reference projects, with a focus on the sawmill and timber industry (

Timo Springer, CEO of the SPRINGER Group, is pleased about the additional know-how in the field of automation: "GIS Industrieautomation has been a reliable and innovative partner for the wood and sawmill industry for years.
